The process begins with no-obligation consultation either in person (for those local in the Essex area) or via phone or email. If an evening or weekend appointment is better for you then I will always try to accommodate to make things a little easier. The initial aim of the consultation will be for me to meet you as a couple and learn all about your very own love story. All the details are important, including your venue, the flowers, any particular themes and the overall style you are hoping for on the day. At this point it is useful for you to have a rough idea of your stationery needs, including rough quantities and an indication of budget. The consultation will also be a chance for us to cover any other elements of your wedding stationery, ranging from save the date cards and invitations to on the day stationery - order of services, menus, place cards, table plans and table numbers and finally Thank-You cards. Please note, I suggest at least 2-3 months for the design and print process of the stationery although you may want to send out your save the date cards well in advance of this.
Once I have a good idea of what you are looking for in terms of design, level of detail, printing methods etc, I will put together a rough timeline from design through to production together with an estimate for your bespoke stationery set.
If you are happy with the estimate and timings and decide to go ahead with your custom designed wedding stationery, you will be asked to review and sign our contract alongside your estimate and timeline. At this point we will require a 50% deposit to secure your studio time and to progress with your designs. We will also need your wording for the elements of your stationery (best provided as a word document/.pdf or via email)
So now we are ready to go! I will then work up 2-3 initial design concepts for you, based on our discussions so far. You will receive the first .pdf proof of your stationery which will need to be checked thoroughly. Two sets of proof amends will be included within the quote.
Once your final proofs are reviewed, you will be asked to sign a final approval and pay the balance for your stationery, then your beautiful, bespoke stationery will be sent to print!
Now you have received your very own Ellen Grace Bespoke Designs Save the Date and invitations, it's time to invite your guests!
